Born in one of the innumerable by-lanes of Bhowanipore, Kolkata, Suprotik from his childhood days was fascinated with the drama of light and shade that he so closely observed in his locale. “I played hide-n-seek with the sun in the long and winding verandah of our ancestral home (when my grandma was busy with her rehearsals).” And as he grew up, his first love became the love of his life.

Today, Suprotik sees the world mostly from behind the camera,  and his childhood views remain the same; “You only capture the real drama when you have mastered the art of light and shade.” Having been in this profession for more than two decades, he is certain that he couldn’t have chosen a better career.
